Programs

We offer a variety of affiliated and unaffiliated clinics and events in dressage and jumping at Lindawarra Equestrian Centre. Catering for novice to advanced standards: from time to time we invite outside instructors/professionals to coach and demonstrate. The Cardinia Riding Club hosts Rallys at Lindawarra on the 2nd Sunday of every month.
There are our in house gymkhanas as well as Horses birthday party on August 1st , celebrated during the Saturday school, Christmas Break up party and our display in the Pakenham Yakkerboo Festival street parade in April.

HOLIDAY PROGRAMS

The childrens holiday program times can be tailored to fit a variety of needs with lunch provided daily. We run our non-residential camps four days and incorporate catching, grooming, horsemanship and two riding sessions with a fun-khana at the end of the week. There is invariably an excursion, as well as prizes, games and video analysis of riding lessons.

TWILIGHT RIDES

We have our ever popular childrens twilight rides over the daylight saving period. Riders arrive for registration at 3pm when they are assigned their horse/pony. There is a riding session which may be in the indoor arena, sand roll or in the jumping paddock depending on the standard of participants. Once horses and ponies are turned out, riders sit up for dinner. Pick up time is 4pm.

GYMKHANA

Our annual Christmas Gymkhana is held at the end of term 4.This is open to all school-aged members of the Lindawarra Equestrian Centre. It is the culmination of the years riding and a great fun day for all the students. There is a preparation day on the Saturday which is compulsory for all competitors to attend so that all horses and ponies can be ridden and prepared for the Sunday. Our instructors are all experienced competitors so are well equipped with years of knowledge to educate in ring craft and horse presentation this day.
The judges are always known to Virginia (invariably past students of her grandmother Mrs Bruce) and invariably known to the students. Prizes are awarded throughout the day with special awards and an Instructors Choice Award (The Lou Lou Memorial), named after the founding school pony of the Lindawarra Equestrian Centre being awarded at the end of proceedings.

WINTER WOOLIES GYMKHANA

During the middle of the year we hold A Winter Woolies Gymkhana. In the comfort of our indoor arena and in the quadrangle (weather permitting) riders perform a dressage test small show jumping course-tailor made for every standard of competitor and a third component including: neatest and cleanest and handymount course. Points are awarded for each section with prizes being awarded at the duration of the day. The preparation and judges are as with the Christmas Gymkhana.
